CHOREOGRAPHER

Independent Contractor

 

Ovation Theatre is always looking for creative, talented, professional choreographers for our performing arts seasons.

 

Our choreographers are professionals in their field with experience in choreographing full scale musical theatre productions.  The individual must be positive, reliable, organized, communicate and connect well with students as well as parents; he/she possesses expertise and a passion for the performing arts.

 

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Have your own reliable transportation and can drive to our rehearsal location in Encinitas

• Responsible, organized, punctual, committed, and innovative

• Experience working with students ages 8-Adult

 

Requirements:

• Have a strong background in dance specifically for musical theater. (Bachelor’s degree preferred with professional dance/acting experience)

• Must have at least 1 year previous performing arts teaching experience

 

Rate of Pay:

Ovation Theatre respects independent contractors and what they bring to elevate the artistic levels of the show and of the students.  Fee is competitive and based on level of experience.
